STAR Sports
Star Sports (formerly Prime Sports) was a television sports channel operated by Fox International Channels Asia Pacific (formerly Star). The channel was a part of what used to be known as ESPN Star Sports, and was available in Pakistan, India, Bangladesh, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Philippines, Vietnam, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and other Asian territories.
After the original News Corporation's acquisition of ESPN International's share in the ESPN Star Sports joint venture in 2012, FIC Asia Pacific rebranded the versions of ESPN broadcast to Hong Kong, Taiwan and Southeast Asia as Fox Sports in January 2013. Meanwhile, Star India took over ESPN Star Sports' operations in India in the process, and later relaunched all of its sports channels under the unified Star Sports banner in November 2013.
On 15 August 2014, Star Sports was relaunched as Fox Sports 2. This rebrand did not affect a version of Star Sports broadcast to Mainland China and South Korea which kept the name; ESPN Mainland China was instead renamed as Star Sports 2 on 1 January 2014.
