Videoland Movie Channel was the first domestic movie channel established in Taiwan and owns a collection of near 1,000 film resources. The channel airs about 250 movies per month, inc uding the latest hits with the best casts by award-winning directors from Taiwan, Hong Kong, Japan, Korea, Thailand, and India.
For years, Videoland Movie Channel has targeted on Asian box-office hits with critical acclamation, and actively supported mov es produced in Taiwan. These movies include 'The Great Buddha +", "GATAO 2-The New Leader Rising", and more. One of these movies.. "Zone Pro Site" had a record-high viewer rating in the history of cable TV in Taiwan. Starring in 2016.
Videoland Movie Channel expanded into the big screen movie market by investing in the production of Chinese language movies, including 'The Rig Power", 'The Village of No Return", "The Rope Curse", and more. In addition, the channel broadcast beloved mov es from Hong Kong, mainland China, Japan, and Korea to satisfy the taste of the viewers. These movies include "WuKong", 'The Battleship Island", "Detective Dee The Four Heavenly Kings", and more. The variety of the genres and themes of the mov es expanded the horizon for the viewers.
Videoland Movie Channel is currently the only local mcvie channel that has its own in-house production unit. The channel has produced over 75 HD digital TV movies so far. Iri response to the digital trend development, the channel has planned lo produce in-house digital TV movies since 2D04. The efforts not only elevated its own production capability and built up its own movie collection, but also provided fertile soils for upcoming producers, directors, and performers in the Taiwanese movie industry. Through 15 years of cultivation, the production quality has become more exquisite, the genres more diverse, and the cast stronger. The recent productions, "Oh. Pretty Woman" and "Lncercover Carp", for examples, received favorable responses from the viewers. Several of the productions were awarded or nominated in the Golden Bell Awards and other awards. Many of them have often been approved and subsidized by the Ministry of Culture or county and city government organizations. Furthermore, some movies rights have been sold in the overseas marker.
