HD TDM began trial broadcast in mid-2008, is a free Chinese HD channel. Most of the programmes on this channel will be broadcast simultaneously with the Macau television station, which will gradually become a separate new channel. However, such a high-definition channel can be said to have a name, because Macau's own market is small, causing the company to buy high-definition equipment as soon as possible and high-definition production talent. So far, its broadcasting quality is very poor, and some complain that "the quality of its screening is inferior to that of playing VCD.
Since its launch on July 15, 2008, HD TDM has provided high-quality comprehensive audio-visual television programs through high-definition terrestrial digital television broadcasting. In addition to that independent broadcast of some high-definition programme, the Australian video sports live broadcast part of the sporting events will also allow viewers to add another high-quality option.
