On March 31, 2017, ViuTV's sister channel ViuTV6 (English channel) was officially launched.
ViuTV is a free Cantonese TV channel run by the Hong Kong Television Entertainment Company Limited. The pilot broadcast began on March 31, 2016, and was officially launched on April 6 of the same year. The 24-hour channel broadcasts more than 4,000 hours of new programming, including home-made entertainment and Japanese, South Korean and other purchased episodes, the content of news, sports, finance, children's programs and so on.
