Pearl River Channel
The Pearl River Channel of Guangdong TV Station was broadcast in September 1983. It is the second program of Guangdong TV Station, which is called "Channel 14." In February 1988, the call sign was changed to "Pearl River Channel of Guangdong TV Station."
Pearl River Channel is the first TV channel broadcast in Cantonese dialect in China. It is also the ground channel with the first coverage, the first audience, the first income and the first impact in Guangdong Province. In addition to Guangdong Province, Hainan, Guangxi, Hunan, Jiangxi, Fujian and other neighboring surrounding areas can also be accepted. In September 2004, the overseas version of Pearl River Channel was broadcast in America, Europe, Australia and Africa. In May 2005, Pearl River Channel was broadcast on Hong Kong and Macao cable networks. In November of the same year, Pearl River channels to provide daily six-hour programmes in the form of shares in Malaysia home entertainment channel, thus covering parts of South-East Asia; In 2010, Pearl River through Hong Kong's largest IPTV integrated platform - now broadband TV into 1 million Hong Kong households.
